About Me
Hello, I'm Deb, a degree-qualified Mental Health Social Worker with a Master's in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I am a trained EMDR therapist, including Master Class and Structural Dissociation training. I also hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Family Dispute Resolution and am a qualified Justice of the Peace. My practice is grounded in evidence-based therapies, and I'm passionate about supporting individuals through their mental health journeys with empathy and professionalism.
At the heart of my work is a commitment to creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to take meaningful steps toward healing and growth. I tailor each treatment plan to meet the specific needs of the person I’m working with, always considering the whole person—not just their symptoms.
Mental health is not one-size-fits-all. By integrating evidence-based therapies with genuine human connection, I aim to support individuals in developing the insight, tools, and resilience needed to navigate life’s challenges and create lasting change.
What truly inspires me is the incredible resilience of the human spirit. I’m continually moved by the courage clients show in facing life’s challenges and their willingness to grow through even the most difficult circumstances. Being a part of someone’s healing journey—helping them rediscover hope, reclaim their strengths, and reconnect with a sense of purpose—is both humbling and deeply rewarding. It’s this connection and transformation that continues to fuel my passion for the work I do.
